Awards

North Carolina Wine Competition 5 awards

North Carolina’s state wine competition, run by the NC Wine & Grape Council and judged blind. It awards Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze across vinifera/hybrid, muscadine and fruit/cider/mead categories — muscadine being judged on its own terms is unusual and matters here.

• Silver Vino Botanico – Watermelon and Mint NV
• Silver Vino Botanico – Strawberry and Basil NV

A medal is awarded to a specific wine and vintage, not to the winery — the vintage is shown with each entry. Only the competitions listed above are covered; a winery may hold awards from competitions this guide does not yet include.
