Childress Vineyards opened in 2004 in Lexington, North Carolina, founded by NASCAR team owner Richard Childress. At 1000 Childress Vineyards Road—described as a gateway to the Yadkin Valley AVA—the estate grows 15 vinifera varieties across more than 70 acres and produces over 30 wines, with an on-site Bistro and a tasting room open daily.
